Seaside Retreat
Site: Surrounded by magnificent views, this beachfront property is also exposed to salty high winds. Poor soils and a low water table presented challenges as well. The owner wanted a low maintenance garden with a patio and spa that would blend into the scenery.
Solution: This spectacular site had to be managed with sensitivity, so as not to disrupt the surrounding natural beauty. The use of stone patios and footpaths integrate the spa, dipping pool and house with the site. The result provides a daily retreat for the owners, while preserving the breath taking views.
